  • Chalk

How to Measure- On Ground Rectangle Pool

Rectangle

  • If the corners of your Rectangle Pool are Radius or Cut-Off (Diagonal) square off the corners using chalk.
  • Take Measurements, both Width and Length to the Square Corners as shown on the diagram.
  • Take Measurements for the Diagonals as shown on the diagram in case the pool is out of square.

Tip:  If your ordering a ‘custom’ onground liner, always use a Pool Fits Rectangle On Ground Liner Measurement Form!

Tip:  If your Onground Rectangle Pool has a ‘hopper’ or ‘deep-end’ refer to Pool Fits Manufacturer’s Standard Specification to verify the bottom configuration measurements.

Rectangle Onground Corner Types

  • Kayak & Fanta Sea Onground Pools  = Square Corners
  • Wilkes Onground Pools = 8-1/2″ Cut-Off (Diagaonal) Corners
  • Olympic Onground Pools = 6″ Radius Corner

How to Measure- On Ground Octagon Pool

Octagon

  • Octagon Shape Pools have 8 equally sized sides
  • To properly determine the size of your Octagon On Ground Pool you’ll need to take 3 measurements:

    • Panel Length
    • Width
    • Diagonal

How to Measure- On Ground Round Pool

Round

  • The Diameter of a Round Pool is the size of the pool and the pool liner required.
  • The Diameter is the measurement across the pool from side to side that goes through the very center of the pool.
    • The easiest way to determine if the tape measure is going through the center of the pool is ensure that you are measuring the ‘widest width’ of the pool.  This is best accomplished by taking several measurements until you can confirm several times that the measurement is in fact the widest possible measurement.
  • The best ‘cross check’ that the Diameter measurement is correct is to measure the perimeter or the circumference of the pool.  This can be done by measuring the distance around the top of the pool in 1′ increments:
  • Example: 24′ Round
    • 75 – 1′ increments + 4″
    • Total Wall Length =75′-4″ or 75.34′
    • Cross Check 75.33 / 3.1416 = 23.98′ or 24′ Diameter

How to Measure- On Ground Oval Pool

Oval

  • The Length and Width of an Oval Pool are the size of the pool and the pool liner required.
  • The Length is the measurement between the two round ends of the pool through the very center of the pool.
    • The easiest way to determine if the tape measure is going through the center of the pool is ensure that you are measuring the ‘longest length’ of the pool.  This is best accomplished by taking several measurements until you can confirm several times that the measurement is in fact the longest possible measurement.
  • The Width is the measurement between the two straight walls of the pool
    • This measurement should be taken at the beginning and end of the straight wall of the pool and should be the same measurement in both locations.  If this measurement varies by an inch or two it will have no affect on the fit of the pool liner.

Tip:  If your ordering a ‘custom’ onground liner, always use a Pool Fits Oval ON Ground Liner Measurement Form!
